St. Pete's (FL) Jeff Jones Is Next Up
St. Petersburg (FL) High School has one of the most dominant players in the state that is not talked about enough. Dual threat QB Jeff Jones is a jewel in the class of 2025 for college recruiters who are really doing their homework. Jones, who is projected to play RB in college, was 2nd in the state in rushing with 2,178 rushing yards & led the state with 38 total TDs. Although he averaged almost 12 yards per carry, he was also a threat as a passer throwing for 845 yards, completing 53 percent of his attempts, & had a 88.3 passer rating as a Junior. His dominance led the Green Devils to an 8-3 record that included an 8 game winning streak and a playoff appearance.
In an event that featured some of the top prospects from both states, Jones was also dominant in the Georgia vs Florida Underclassmen Showcase. He was Team Florida's top performer and was responsible for 4 of Florida's touchdowns, although 2 were called back for holding. His speed, shiftiness, and field vision are attributes that will allow him to be a force at the next level. He is definitely someone to have your eye on for this upcoming season.
